Cyber Security Today
Cyber attacks aren't rare anymore — they're a routine cost of doing business.
It is more important than ever to protect your business, clients, and customers from potential cyber attacks, and with the rise of AI, the digital world is going to become far more dangerous for all.

5 Main Areas
Firewalls
-
Control traffic between your network and the internet.
-
Requires: change default passwords, block unnecessary ports/services, restrict admin access, review rules regularly.
What is Cyber Essentials?
A UK Government-backed cyber security certification proving your business has the fundamental controls to stop the most common
cyber attacks
Two Levels
Each valid for 12 months
Cyber Essentials
You complete a questionnaire covering the five controls, verified and signed off by a senior manager, then checked by an external assessor
Cyber Essentials Plus
A certified assessor tests your systems directly, including vulnerability scans and on-site or remote checks, to verify the controls are genuinely working, not just claimed.
Who It's For — and Why It Matters
Any UK organisation can apply — from sole traders to large enterprises. It matters most for SMEs, who are the most common target and the least resourced to recover.
Win Contracts
Many government and enterprise contracts require Cyber Essentials from suppliers before they'll even tender.
Build Customer Trust
A recognised, government-backed badge of credibility clients and partners understand at a glance.
Reduce Cyber Risk
Closes the specific gaps that attackers exploit most often — not a vague promise, a concrete baseline.
Access to insurance
Eligible certified organisations can receive Cyber Liability Insurance as part of the scheme.
